About the Event
Distance: 8km/5miles
Ascent: 900m
Time: 5-6 hoursÂ
Buachaille Etive Beag is one of the most straightforward mountains of Glencoe's magnificent range. However, it holds strong against it's larger and more technically difficult neighbours. A well built path leads us up to onto the ridge, where further short ascent will get us to our first top of the day, Stob Coire Raineach. At 925 metres, it gives commanding views of the Glen and surrouding peaks. We then work back Southwest, along the fantastic ridgeline towards our second peak, Stob Dubh. Superlative views over Glen Etive await us there. To descend, we once again walk along the ridge to make use of our ascent path to aid our way down.
